The waterwheel which was installed by a volunteer in the mill race is currently not linked up to anything. There are several ideas to get it to drive something, like a turbine to generate some electricity, or a machine of some sorts, or just to connect a few large gear wheels. We have one 3 foot gear wheel, so we’ll need a cog cut to the same spec as that wheel, and link that through a shaft onto a pulley wheel, which can then drive … something. Ideas welcome, costs will be associated with whatever we decide to install.
