Remove Two Outbuildings
These buildings need to be removed, mainly as their combined weight is causing the river bank to collapse. Both structures are later additions to the building. The first building houses a large water tank that we don’t use anymore. Costs to remove that are minimal other than a few waste skips. The second building houses some of PM2 operating equipment, as well as the steam engine. The equipment is no longer used and can be removed, but the steam engine needs to remain. If we remove the building, the mill is open and therefore we need to immediately build the glass walkway that we envisage in its stead. This will be costly part and we think this will cost around £5000.
Update: Planning permission was sort and granted for this essential work. As of April 2022, the two outbuildings are currently being dismantled to make the site safe and in preparation for underpinning the bank, near the mill pond.
