Grant Co-ordinator
Volunteer Specification
Opportunity Title: Grant Co-ordinator
Company: Apsley Paper Trail
Main Purpose
This is a unique role, especially as Frogmore Mill is the birthplace of the first mechanised paper machine. No other heritage site can offer you the same experience.
Apsley Paper Trail is a charity which now looks after the history and heritage of the site. Although there is a small set of employees the site relies on a large group of volunteers, each bringing their own set of skills.
Grant Co-ordinator
As a charity, heritage site it is important that Frogmore Mill gains funding from grants. The site receives no government funding which is why it is imperative that we successfully apply for it through other sources. The main visitor centre was created through a heritage lottery grant which transformed the old waste paper sheds into a comfortable hub for visitors, however it is necessary that we revitalise the entire mill to ensure the longevity of Frogmore Mill’s life.
