DESCRIPTION:Storyboats - general information \n\nEach school holiday we ru
 n Storyboats for younger children. This is a gentle 40 minute cruise down 
 the River Gade to where it meets the Grand Union Canal\, with wildlife spo
 tting and listening to stories. The books we read a picture books\, with a
  wildlife or water theme\, so the young audience can spot the hidden eleme
 nts in the stories and learn about new creatures.\n\nSuitable for ages 4 t
 o 8 years\, it is the ideal way to fill time between more costly\, holiday
  outings. We feed the waterfowl we encounter and if we are very lucky we s
 ee the kingfisher.\n\nAt Halloween and Christmas we run themed Storyboats\
 , with goody bags and an extra special passenger in a red suit at Christma
 s.\n\nAll children must be accompanied by an adult\, all passengers must p
 urchase a ticket. Passengers and tickets are limited to 12 per boat so occ
 asionally we are left with one odd ticket.\n\nWhitsun Storyboat\n\nBoats d
 epart from the Frogmore Paper Mill Wharf\, accessed via Fourdrinier Way\, 
 HP3 9RY. Parking is in the Durrant’s Hill Road pay and display car park\
 , from where you just need to cross the road\, turn to your right and take
  the first left. Our entrance is just 200yards down on the left hand side.
  There are limited spaces at our gate for Blue Badge holders and you are w
 elcome to call us in advance to secure a space.\n\nPlease arrive 5 minutes
  prior to the departure time. We have seating but there is no inside space
  available while you wait for your trip.\n\nBefore you depart\, staff will
  run through our boat Health and Safety guidance.\n\nIn the event of adver
 se weather conditions\, The Apsley Paper Trail reserves the right to cance
 l trips. In such an event\, your ticket will be fully refunded. Tickets wi
 ll only be refunded 48 hours or more prior to departure.\n\nPlease be awar
 e there are 3 steps in and out of the boat. There is a handrail alongside 
 and staff are always on hand to assist.
