DESCRIPTION:Frogmore Paper Mill is reopening! We are delighted to say we ar
 e open for hard hat tours after more than 3 years of closure.\n\nWe will b
 e open for tours at 11am and 2pm every Wednesday and Thursday. Adults £15
  and children 4-16 £10\, children under 4 free. Entry will be via our gat
 e on Durrant’s Hill Road – please don’t head to Fourdrinier Way.\n\n
 Why are they called Hard Hat tours?\n\nReally because we have more to do. 
 Hard Hat tours offer a full tour experience where a guide will tell you al
 l about papermaking history\, the Gade Valley paper mills and the restorat
 ion work that has been undertaken since the 2022 fire which forced us to c
 lose. We will be pleased to offer you a cup of tea or coffee and a cake as
  part of the ticket price. You will also receive a demonstration of making
  paper by hand. On our child friendly Wednesdays in school holidays we wil
 l make time for all children to make a sheet to take home.\n\nWhat we won
 ’t have!\n\nLevel floors and a lack of steps! There is one narrow flight
  of five steps between the levels. If this may pose a problem\, get in tou
 ch and we will see what we can do to escort you a different route.\nWe do 
 not have a full café yet but can serve a fine coffee or tea. And cake!\nW
 hat we will give you!\n\nAn informative and engaging tour. A tour guide wh
 o will answer your questions and amaze you with the facts. A chance to mak
 e a piece of paper. An understanding of how paper is made\, how paper deve
 loped from early production\, to mechanisation and towards the future. You
  will learn how the Gade Valley or Paper Valley as we prefer to call it\, 
 gave the world a revolutionary product that we now just take for granted.\
 n\nEntrance Durrants Hill Road Gate opposite the car park.\n\nWear warm cl
 othing and practical footwear.\n\nSchool Holidays \n\nOn Wednesdays during
  the school holidays\, we offer child friendly tours. Everyone is welcome 
 to book but we will be making sure our younger audience members are being 
 engaged. Each child will be able to make their own small pieces of paper o
 n these tours.
