Are You a Dacorum Resident?  FREE Entry – This Saturday Only

We are celebrating the re-opening of Frogmore Paper Mill with FREE ENTRY for Dacorum residents this Saturday.

We have a brand-new exhibition to share with you: Our Paper Past spotlights our local area had when machinery was installed here that mechanised papermaking.  From the early 1800’s, local workers in The Gade Valley mills produced paper that was used all over the world, transforming ways of sharing information.

We’ve put together an fascinating display of photographs, maps and objects that will take you back to a time when our community was at the heart of the industrial revolution.  Come along and see how much the area where YOU now live has changed.  (Or reminisce about your past employment?) You’ll also discover our working paper mill, new machinery and explore the science of papermaking.  Please note that due to continuing Covid restrictions, hand papermaking is demonstration only.

To visit us FREE this weekend, come along between 11am and 4pm (last tour 3.15pm) on Saturday 3rd July 2021.  Don’t forget to bring your proof of your address, so that we know you live locally.

We are open as normal on Sunday 4th July, 11-4m. tours 11.15, 13.00 and 14.45. Normal ticket prices.

Frogmore Paper Mill is following all relevant Government guidelines on health and safety, including requirements around social distancing and hygiene. Where necessary, we’ve adapted our shared spaces and our staff are carefully trained to ensure our visitors and volunteers can relax and enjoy their time at Frogmore Paper Mill.

Due to extended Covid 19 restrictions and to ensure our visitors, staff and volunteers stay safe, we will be limiting tours to 6 people or family bubbles. Visitors will be assigned a tour guide on arrival, who take the group around our mill. Tours will be staggered from 11.15am, operating a one way route and to ensure numbers in nay one place do not exceed guidelines. Hand papermaking will be demonstration only. Guides will be wearing clear visors and visitors are requested to bring a face covering.  Our NHS QR codes are positioned at the front entrance for you to scan using your app. Hand sanitisers are positioned throughout. And direction markings for the one way system in place.
