Here is a taste of what 2023 might bring at Frogmore. Due to the great success of Street Food Festivals, Storyboats and the Christmas Craft Fair, these will be repeated. Storyboats begin from the Easter School Holiday and will continue each school holiday until the end of year, with the usual Halloween and Santa versions on offer.
In addition, we are planning a rather exciting art auction in Spring. Save your pennies now! We will have original artwork, prints, sculpture and unique ceramics, from some very well known names in the mix. The support from artists, cartoonists, illustrators, designers, craftspersons and famous names has been wonderful and we are extremely appreciative of their help, to achieve our goal and recover as fast as we can from the setback of last year’s fire. We are planning an evening auction in London with a Bonhams auctioneer. Those that cannot make the date can lodge bids in advance.
We also have a special anniversary to celebrate, the bi-centenary of the birth of Sir John Evans on 17th November. Less well known than his uncle, John Dickinson, and sent by his mother, John Evans became and converted the business to a limited company. In addition to his contribution to the paper story, he was an expert in numismatics and geology. Find out more as we get towards November.
