Paper is the traditional symbolic material for the 1^st wedding anniversary, so we are the ideal location to celebrate the day. We offer a special hands-on package for celebrants which enables them to create something unique and personalised for just £50.

Couples are greeted on arrival with a glass of champagne by our staff, they are then taken on a tour of the mill to see, learn and experience how paper is made. On return they are guided as they jointly make their own unique pieces of handmade paper, using a traditional wire mould and deckle, in our barrel vat.  The couple are able to bring appropriate small inclusions to their paper. Typically preserved flowers, grass and fabric may be suitable and this can be discussed prior to and during the day. Couples make a number of A4 sheets in this manner. The paper is left here and once dry, our letterpress experts will print the wording ‘1^st (paper) Wedding Anniversary’ and the significant date onto the result.  All paper produced is sent recorded delivery to the celebrants typically with printed as well as unprinted sheets.
